For purposes of the Bahrain PDPL, Advantari Digital Solutions W.L.L. is the Data Controller in respect of the personal data described in this Privacy Policy.

  • religious beliefs;
  • trade union affiliation;
  • criminal records;
  • health information; or
  • sexual status.

If sensitive personal data is provided to us without being requested, we will process it only where permitted under applicable law and may delete or restrict such information where it is not necessary for the recruitment process.

Where a third party processes personal data on our behalf as a Data Processor, Advantari will take appropriate steps to ensure that the processor provides sufficient safeguards regarding the security and confidentiality of personal data and processes the data in accordance with applicable contractual and legal requirements.

8. International Transfers of Personal Data

Some of our service providers and technology platforms may process or store personal data outside the Kingdom of Bahrain, including in the European Union and the United States of America.

International transfers of personal data will be undertaken in accordance with the Bahrain PDPL and Order No. (42) of 2022 regarding the transfer of personal data outside the Kingdom of Bahrain.

Where personal data is transferred to a country or territory recognized by the competent Bahrain authority as providing an adequate level of protection, the transfer may be carried out in accordance with the applicable adequacy framework.

Where a destination is not included in the applicable list of countries or territories providing adequate protection, Advantari will ensure that the transfer is conducted only where an applicable legal condition is satisfied, which may include:

  • obtaining required authorization from the competent authority;
  • obtaining the Data Subject's consent where permitted;
  • implementing appropriate contractual safeguards; or
  • relying upon another transfer condition or exemption permitted under the Bahrain PDPL.

We will also take reasonable steps to ensure that service providers receiving personal data are subject to appropriate confidentiality, security and data-protection obligations.

9. Retention of Personal Data

Such information will be periodically reviewed and will not be retained longer than necessary for the stated recruitment purpose.

12.3 Request Blocking or Erasure

You may request that personal data be blocked or erased where the processing is contrary to the Bahrain PDPL, subject to applicable legal conditions and retention obligations.

12.4 Object to Direct Marketing

You have the right to object, free of charge, to processing of your personal data for direct marketing purposes.

12.5 Object to Certain Other Processing

Where the conditions prescribed by the Bahrain PDPL are met, you may object to processing that causes, or is likely to cause, unwarranted substantial material or moral damage to you or another person.

12.6 Withdraw Consent

Where processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time, free of charge and without responsibility, subject to verification of your identity where appropriate.

Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.

12.7 Automated Decisions

Where applicable, you may exercise rights provided under the Bahrain PDPL concerning decisions based solely on automated processing.

12.8 Lodge a Complaint

If you believe that your personal data has been processed in breach of the Bahrain PDPL, you may lodge a complaint with the competent Personal Data Protection Authority in the Kingdom of Bahrain in accordance with its applicable procedures.
